![]() Tommy Shaw | What can I say about this man that hasn't already been said? I know that since I started following his carrier back in '83, I have never lost interest in his music. His songs have always spoke to me in a way other musicians never have. If my site is swayed toward Tommy more than the others that would be why. I bought each of his Solo albums when they came out (which is why I have Ambition), and followed him into the world of the Damn Yankees. I had seen Night Ranger in '95 and Loved Jacks energy and just plain good looks. When I found out he was going to be in a band with Tommy I freaked. This was going to be Too Cool!! I was right. Sometimes I wonder how we all got so lucky as to have our boy in Two Great bands. Now with him doing the Solo thing, Styx and Damn Yankees, we should be getting so much music from this boy we will get tired of it....NOT!! |

![]() Dennis DeYoung | To me Dennis is the visionary of Styx. I first really got interested in Styx during the Kilroy album. I loved it. I have been in musical theatre since I was young and this seemed so much like it that I was intrigued. Then Caught in the Act came out and I ordered the video of the concert. I will never forget the day that video came in the mail. It was soooooo Cool!! It was my first exposure to Styx live and I was caught, Happily. I know that Dennis was the one behind the concept albums and that is one of my favorite things about Styx. I hope one day to see his version of Hunchback. I am sure it is as wonderful as his other ideas. I hear there is another concept album in the works, and I can't wait. |

![]() JY | When I met JY he was so sweet. Not exactly what I was expecting from the big hard rockin' guitarist. But I soon learned there was a lot more to JY then that. He is the one that will always smile back, and seems to be full of a sense of fun on stage. On my second trip backstage, I was standing in the line when he looked up saw me pointed and waved. It had been two months since I had met him but he remembered me. That I will never forget. Not to mention the intro to Snowblind that keeps growing and growing. I will always love that!! |

![]() Chuck Panozzo | Chuck has always been there. Though everything, since the beginning he has been there. But this man is probably the one we know the least. He is quiet, keeping to the background most of the time. But we see his influence everytime we look at an album cover, or art work, or just the overall look. When I met him, he was genuinely glad to meet me. When John passed away the summer of '96 I can't imagine the courage it must have took to continue that tour. But he found that courage and was gracious enough to listen to us fans over and over tell him how We would miss him. It is great to see him taking more of a role in the Performance side of Styx. Get up front more Chuck Say we can all say HI. |

![]() Todd Sucherman | Todd, who took over the role of the new kid on the block, (Tommy passing the buck) has played it great. He has never tried to take John's place, he just found more room on the stage. His addition has been an added burst of energy that has been welcome. The question is how does Tommy seem to keep coming up with great drummers? First Michael, now Todd, boy is he lucky. I can't wait to see the influence Todd has on this new album, it should be interesting. |
![[Glen]](nmegle.jpg)
![]() Glen Burtnik | We First met Glen when he did the Horrible thing of taking over Tommy's spot in Styx. But in spite of that fact Glens songs on Edge of the Century, were some of my favorite. In Fact "All in a Day's Work" has become a favorite Styx song. When I saw the Videos, I realized how much energy he brought to Styx. Seeing Tommy, JY, and Glen all on stage together is very intriguing to me. I know there has been a lot of Flack about Glen being in the band, But I for one Welcome him with open arms. |
![[John]](nmejoh.jpg)
![]() John Panozzo | I Never got the privilege of meeting John. It is my loss. From the way his brother and bandmates talk about him he would have been a cool person to know. Unfortunately I will never get that chance. John died the summer of 1996 to the shock of all us fans. But in show biz the Show must go on. And it did. Styx dedicated the rest of that tour and really the next one too, to John. As for the fans, we tried to show our appreciation for all the music he had given us through the years. From Lighting white candles at all the shows to writing tributes in letters and webpages, I hope we showed John's family and friends that we shared their pain and celebrated his life. |
