All For Sasuke

Sasuke has always wanted to be better than me. He's always wanted to defeat me, even before I really gave him a reason to want to kill me. It used to be he would follow me around, staring at me with loving eyes that seemed unable to see flaws. He'd admire my strength, my stealth, my aim. In return, I would be the only one to truly care for him.

Father didn't care, he only waited for me to begin turning from the clan to care for Sasuke. Mother didn't care either; she was simply kinder because she was his mother. For some pathetic reason they felt it was more worth their time to watch me, praise me, and ignore their younger son.

Even the rest of our family ignored him, our uncles, aunts, cousins, and grandparents. At first they cared because he was a new baby and had potential to be a prodigy, to be like me. After they found that he was no greater than any other Uchiha, they shunned him.

That's the torture of being an Uchiha. The clan itself cares nothing for individual people. People don't matter. Emotions don't matter. All that matters is a strength weakened by the severe mental torture of being one of them.

I couldn't very well let them to do that to Sasuke. He was somehow still so naïve, so young, so sweet and caring. Most of that would have to go; all of that would have to go, but it would save him in the end. Sasuke really was the only one who could save them.

He was the only one who could save us. Uchiha Sasuke would have to restore the clan of Uchiha to a state where it cares for human beings, and everyone loves each other, and people can live trusting their own family. For him to be able to though, I would have to take away those who would corrupt him, those who would shove him into their style of life. He would have to be alone and realize how important people were. He would have to hate me too.

I'll throw away any chance I have for being happy, because it can save him.

That's really all that matters anyway.

It's all that ever mattered.

So now, I'm hated, feared, hunted, and scorned. All for him.

All for Sasuke.
